“There are mortgage advisers who can do the job for free. This might work for you if your case is really straight forward (but then it is not clear why you would not go to the lender yourself). I have wasted about two week on this kind of agent and this guy came back with a rejected application (happily with no severe footprint on my credit history). Needless to say if I had any questions, I had to wait quite a while to get these answered. Then there are other advisers who would charge your almost thousand pounds but you should not expect treatment that is much better than you have from "free of charge" agents - you can ask a question and feedback will come in three days or even in a week time. So after trying three agents of different types I was geven Ketan's contacts and I had a chance to see how good looks like. Simple example of Ketan's dedication: he was working on my case and he gave me a phone call on late evening of St. Valentines day.
